Black Friday 2012

November 20, 2012 by vleeson Leave a Comment

Tips & Deals for this Friday’s busiest shopping day of the year!…Black Friday 2012

Black Friday falls on the day after Thanksgiving and has earned the reputation of being the busiest shopping

day of the year. The name was adopted from an accounting term—red ink denotes a negative profit margin, whereas “in the black” denotes a positive profit margin. Many retailers make or break their sales goals between Thanksgiving and Christmas, with the season kicking off on the Friday after Thanksgiving, hence the name “Black Friday.”

Black Friday 2012 Deals Are Here

Amazon.com…..All the Deals, None of the Lines

Black Friday is an exciting day for shopping, both online and in stores. At Amazon, they strive to bring you low prices every day, but they also hate to miss a good party. And they really hate it when the party is over too soon. That’s why Black Friday 2012 isn’t just a day to them–it’s a whole week. They’ll have Black Friday deals and sales all day, every day this week, including Black Friday itself of course, with those big after-Thanksgiving sales you’ve been waiting for. Trust them, if you love a good deal, you won’t want to miss a minute.
What sorts of deals will you find during Black Friday Deals Week? You’ll find limited-time sales and specials from across Amazon, including sales on electronics, low prices on DVDs, magazine subscription specials, toy bargains, and fashionable deals on clothing, shoes, jewelry, and more. You’ll find our best deals of the year so far during Black Friday Deals Week, and Deal of the Day bargains you’ll snap up for holiday gifts.

You shouldn’t have to stand in a long line to get a great deal. Amazon.com has been searching for the best Black Friday deals everywhere–including Black Friday deals other stores are planning–so they can bring them to you even earlier. These limited-supply deals will go quickly, but we’ll add new ones throughout the day, every day, so you can skip the long lines and still save a bundle. Plus, subscribe to their deals e-mails to get daily updates & daily “Lightning Deals”. See link below:

Black Friday Shopping Tips

1. Check out the ads. There are both online deals & in store deals. Many online deals start at midnight & many include free shipping.

2. Do your research before Friday. If you are hoping to scoop up a deal on Friday on a big-ticket item, go ahead and get your research out of the way as soon as possible.

3. Compare prices. Utilize price comparison internet shopping sites such as PriceGrabber.com to assist you in comparing product prices. Compare the “options” included with the product.

4. Look for early bird shopper discounts. Also, some store locations open earlier than others (same store chain just different Black Friday hours). This gives you several opportunities to get those scarce coveted items at different locations. Try at the store that opens at midnight & if you don’t get it then go to the location that opens at 3:00am.

5. Beat the crowds with night owl discounts on Thanksgiving.

6. Bring the ads. Many stores offer a “lowest-price” guarantee; however you may be required to produce a copy of the exact product being advertised for less.

7. Know the store policies.

8. Ask for gift receipts.

9. Saying “charge it” can pay off with warranty coverage, return protection and sale price protection.

10. BEWARE OF  REBATES in order to get your “low price.” Kohl’s frequently does this, they advertise a low price but you must pay the higher price at checkout & send in your rebate in order to have your savings rebate mailed to you.

11. Home Depot has amazing deals on appliances & they have larger quantities they are willing to sell at the low prices so you don’t have to be there at the store opening to get your appliance deals the way you do at Sears (who only has a very small limited quantity of their Black Friday advertised appliances.

12. Team up with family & friends because you can’t be in 2 places at the same time. Team work!
