One of the fallouts or the current mortgage crisis has been minimally reported at best. Get this….people are walking away from their homes and leaving their pets at the house. They have no place to put them and so they just leave them. Dogs have been found at many vacant homes around the Phoenix area. What would possess a person to just leave a pet? Most people’s pets really become a part of the family. How one could do something like this is beyond me. The shelters are full and need your help. You can donate old blankets and towels for warmth for the animals to any of the animal shelters across the valley. There’s much talk about the “victims” in the mortgage crisis, but these pets are REAL victims through no decisions of their own. Call your local shelter and see if there’s something you can do to help!
